29 giugno 2013 - Una forte tempesta geomagnetica a KP7 è cominciata durante la notte ed è in corso, questa secondo gli esperti è dovuta al forte vento solare degli scorsi giorni. La foto a lato è di Christian Begeman dal South Dakota in Stati Uniti, scattata poco fa poco fuori la città di Hartford.
Le aurore in corso sono visibili fino al Kansas. Essendo una tempesta dovuta a vento solare potrebbe durare molto piu tempo rispetto a tempeste geomagnetiche provocate dai brillamenti solari.
Per i radioamatori la MUF dell'F2 della ionosfera è sceso a 13/14 Mhz
