Preghiera di Compassione

Possa io essere il protettore di chi è privo di protezione,

la guida di chi è in cammino, una barca, un ponte,

un guado per chi desidera approdare all’altra sponda.

Possa il dolore di ogni creatura vivente essere completamente cancellato.

Possa io essere il medico e la cura e possa essere l’infermiere

di tutti i malati del mondo, finche ciascuno guarisca.

Così come lo spazio e i grandi elementi,

così come la Terra, possa io sostenere la vita

di tutte le innumerevoli creature.

E, fino a che non siano liberati dal dolore,

possa io essere la sorgente della vita

per tutti i reami dei diversi esseri che si estendono fino ai confini dello spazio.

Prayer of Compassion

May I be the protector of those who are unprotected,

the guidance of someone who is on a journey, a boat, a bridge,

A stepping stone to those who want to land the other side.

May the pain of every living creature be completely cleared.

May I be the doctor and the nurse care and can be

sick of all the world, until each heal.

Just as space and the great elements,

as the earth, I could support life

of all the innumerable creatures.

It, until they are freed from pain,

I can be the source of life

for all the different realms of beings that extend to the edge of space.
